The Patience in Waiting

The Patience in Waiting

We spend so much of life waiting. Waiting for answers, for love, for clarity, for healing. There are seasons when it feels like the world is moving past us, while we are rooted in place—caught between longing and uncertainty. But I’ve learned that waiting isn’t empty. Beneath the stillness, small transformations are at work. Our patience becomes a quiet strength; our hope a seed beneath the surface, preparing to break through when the time is right. Not every change happens in the sunlight. Sometimes, we grow in darkness—invisibly, but surely. It is easy to lose faith in these long pauses. We want signs, progress, proof that our waiting means something. Yet, with time, I’ve come to see that some of the most profound changes happen slowly—out of sight, in silence, within us. The patience in waiting is not passive; it is an act of courage. It is trusting the process, believing that what’s meant for us is quietly making its way. It is choosing to stay open to life, even when nothing seems certain.

If you find yourself waiting, know that you are not alone. Every story has chapters that unfold slowly, and every soul has seasons of stillness. In these spaces, give yourself grace. Trust that something meaningful is growing, even if you can’t see it yet.

Your waiting is not wasted. It is shaping you, strengthening you, and—when the time is right—will carry you into your next becoming.
